Grade Level Tests Long Term Projects

6th

Currently working in Book F

Students should receive their grades back this week on their presentations.

The 6th graders will be having a quest on the remainder of the chapter not covered and assessed by the project. This quest will be on Friday of this week ( 4/25)

The 6th graders also took the National Science League test today.  I will grade these and will award the top ten students in 6th grade with a certificate and the high score with a medal as well.

The 6th graders have presented their projects on Geologic time and Fossils.  Each of the three groups shared a visual display of their topic as well as gave an oral presentation to the class on their topic.

The students have worked hard and did a fantastic job on this assignment as a team.  Each member has completed assigned tasks and I have seen some real leadership coming form new places which is wonderful to see.

I learned some new facts while listening, as well as being entertained with their creative presentations.

During the presentations each group take notes on the other groups.  I was happy to see many students used the attached Worksheet to help take productive and organized notes.   Other students used the LIST of the key points to take notes on on their own.

As I have looked over the notes most seem complete and contained nearly all of the vital information.

Job well done guys and gals!

As we move into dissection the attached worksheets may be of assistance to you.  These have been modified from worksheets (I opened these in Word and they worked just so you know.)and other resources over the years.  I thank all those befor me that have helped me produce some worksheets that are very useful to the students.
